Once furred, the timber catches dirt faster and is uncomfortable underfoot. We use carefully controlled low-to-mid pressure settings combined with a timber-safe cleaning solution that lifts grime without damaging the wood fibres. The result is a smooth, clean surface ready for finishing.
Preparation for Oiling and Staining
If you're planning to oil or stain your deck, surface preparation is everything. Paint and stain manufacturers universally require a clean, dry, contaminant-free surface for proper adhesion. Our cleaning process removes mould, old flaking coatings, and oxidised grey wood to expose fresh, bare timber — the ideal substrate for Dryden Woodsman, Resene Woodsman, or any premium timber oil.
Fence Cleaning Included
We treat fences with the same care as decks. Timber paling fences, cedar slat screens, and louvre fences all benefit from low-pressure cleaning to remove moss, algae, and weathering. If you're booking a deck clean, adding the fence is a cost-effective way to transform your entire outdoor area in one visit. We also clean timber retaining walls and garden edging.
Suitable for All Timber Species
Whether your deck is pine, kwila, vitex, cedar, or macrocarpa, we adjust pressure and chemical concentration to suit the species. Softer timbers like pine require lower pressure and gentler chemistry, while hardwoods like kwila tolerate a slightly more aggressive approach to remove deep-set discolouration.
